Strictly business..and a little fun

Tuesday November 19, 2024

The IHE took part in LCRIG’s annual Strictly Highways event this October in Blackpool, with several members speaking to the packed conference on a range of important topics.

As always, the IHE hosted an exhibition stand where Gemma Evans, IHE’s academy and events manager, was on hand to engage with attendees. She received numerous inquiries regarding membership, professional registration, and various training opportunities.

The level of interest highlighted the growing recognition of the IHE as a leader in professional development for engineers and other highway professionals.

In addition to individual queries, it was encouraging to note that several organisations approached the IHE about establishing Professional Development Partnerships (PDPs) and enhancing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.

The event concluded with the prestigious Department for Transport Awards Dinner, where CEO Steve Spender was honoured with the Appreciation Award.
