Scottish Branch Update

  • Monday July 9, 2018

The past year has been very active for the Scottish Branch.  There were interesting and informative technical evening meetings, the last of which was in April where WJ provided a presentation which enabled our members to gain a real insight into the company’s approach and into the products and services they deliver.  WJ’s delivery was highly professional, informative and held interest throughout, with the evening ending with a lively question and answer session.

Preceding this presentation was our AGM where Martin Polland stepped down as Chairman of the IHE Scotland Branch and I was appointed the new chairman.  I would like to thank Martin for all his hard work in taking the Branch to the healthy position it is in today.  Martin’s hard work has been rewarded with his successful appointment as Junior Vice President of the IHE.  On behalf of the committee we wish Martin well in this new position.

The Scottish Branch committee will be meeting at the end of July to discuss future evening technical seminars for the coming 2018/19 year with the view of confirming dates, topics and venues in early Autumn.  The Branch has been very proactive in gaining new members and mentoring successful candidates to gain professional qualification at all levels.  Should any members have any preferred topics that they would like to see at evening meetings or would like any information regarding professional qualification then please contact the branch at scotland@theihe.org.

Keep up to date with our branch events and news in the members area of the website or via our Linkedin page.
