Making new friends…and keeping old ones
- Thursday March 20, 2025
The IHE is proud to announce our latest Professional Development Partnership (PDP) is with Stabilised Pavements Limited (SPL).
As the UK’s largest and most experienced in-situ road recycling company, SPL has been at the forefront of sustainable road rehabilitation for over two decades.
Its innovative in-situ recycling and stabilisation techniques provide cost effective, long-lasting solutions for failing roads while significantly reducing carbon emissions and maximising material reuse.
The PDP will allow both parties to benefit from the support and recognition afforded by such cooperation.
We look forward to working together to support professional development and best practices in innovative and sustainable highway maintenance.

The IHE and LCRIG have gladly announced the renewal of their existing Professional Development Partnership (PDP), reinforcing our shared commitment to professional development and knowledge sharing. Since establishing the partnership in July 2022, LCRIG and the IHE have collaborated on various initiatives, including mutual promotion, event participation and industry engagement. The PDP continues to serve as a platform for strengthening collaboration between the IHE and its partners.
LCRIG chief executive Paula Claytonsmith said: ‘We are delighted to formally renew our partnership with IHE and look forward to further strengthening our collaboration.
‘The PDP enables us to continue creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and professional development within the highways community.’
IHE chief executive Lyle Andrew added: ‘It’s great news that we renew our PDP agreement with LCRIG. ‘The partnership sees ongoing mutual benefits for both organisations including the sharing of reports and publications as well as the promotion of industry training and general upskilling of engineers and others active in the field of highways and transportation.
‘This renewed agreement highlights our shared vision of supporting practitioners, enhancing skills and driving innovation in the highways and transport technology sector.
