IHE issues election briefing

Thursday May 1, 2025

With today’s Local Elections taking place across England, the IHE has provided a briefing on the elections and those running for office with a focus on Highways and maintenance.

Discussions on things such as potholes, major road upgrades and funding have a direct impact on not only IHE members, but our local communities.

Our briefing document also references data from the RAC, which highlights the need for improvements to the UK’s road network.

As the IHE continues to support these ongoing consultations, our Chief Executive Lyle Andrew attended an RAC event in Westminster where he joined discussions on the need for long term funding and road repairs.

The IHE wants to ensure that our members are informed on those standing in office and what they are promising for our road network.
