The IHE and LCRIG renew Professional Development Partnership
- Friday February 9, 2024
Since signing the original partnership agreement in July 2022, LCRIG and the IHE have collaborated across several areas, including promotion of each other’s organisations and having a presence at the events.
The IHE actively promotes training material on the LCRIG Skills training platform, created to provide learning and development support to individuals working in the highways community, at all stages in their career.
LCRIG Chief Executive, Paula Claytonsmith said: “We are delighted to formally renew our partnership with the IHE, and look forward to continuing to develop our close working relationship. The PDP enables us to continue to create opportunities for collaboration within the highways community.”
Steve Spender, CEO at the IHE said: “The IHE is really pleased to continue our very strong collaborative relationship with LCRIG enables both of our organisations to support all of those working in the Highways sector.
“Our commitment is to ensure that by sharing our training platforms, we can consistently offer training opportunities that empower professionals in the sector to maintain local road networks safely and in optimal condition. Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about available training and events, enabling individuals to stay informed about evolving technologies and innovations crucial for addressing challenges arising from changing weather patterns.
“As a Professional Engineering Institute (PEI), the IHE is grateful for the support we receive from LCRIG in helping us attend numerous events that allow us to encourage and guide Technicians and Engineers through the Professional Registration process.
“We are looking forward to 2024, during which we hope that we see our joint relationship grow stronger for the mutual benefit of LCRIG and the IHE, as well as the rest of the Highways Industry.”
