ASI Solutions signs Professional Development Partnership with IHE

  • Tuesday February 22, 2022

ASI Solutions, the global provider of Rhinophalt asphalt preservation, has entered into a Professional Development Partnership (PDP) with the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE).

This will see both organisations working together to help support the association’s mission to provide professional development opportunities, support and leadership for individuals to achieve and maintain professional recognition, and ASI’s work to deliver asphalt preservation on the UK road network to help keep roads in better condition for longer.

IHE’s Professional Development Partnership is intended to promote closer cooperation between the institute and partners so that together we can continue to provide industry standard training, promote its Highway Engineering Academy (HEA) and support practitioners in the highways sector.

Professional Development Partnerships are open to highways sector businesses, local government authorities, academic institutions, professional engineering Institutes and other highways interest-based organisations.

In this case, IHE and ASI will work to further develop IHE aims, especially in the regions, as well as partner on industry workshops and events.

“We welcome ASI Solutions as a Professional Development Partner and look forward to working with them. At the heart of the PDP programme is collaboration and the ability for the IHE to work with the whole supply chain, which changes at such a fast pace, to ensure our sector is developing in a proactive way as well as our people.”

Steve Spender, Chief Executive, IHE

“ASI is determined to help highway engineers with their mission to use sustainable surface treatments such as asphalt preservation as part of their intentions to move towards more planned preventative maintenance as part of an effective asset management strategy. We are proud to have the opportunity to work with IHE to support them with their aims and to promote the great work of the highways sector.”

Howard Robinson, Managing Director, ASI Solutions

Rhinophalt asphalt preservation meets requirements of clause 950 in the Specification for Highway Works and carries a HAPAS certification and CE Mark. More than 90% carbon savings can be achieved by including it as part of a planned preventative maintenance strategy.
