Traffic Signs Conference 2026

Monday May 18, 2026

Professionals from across the transport and highways sector came together in Birmingham recently for a dedicated event focused on the safety and performance benefits of well-designed traffic signs and road markings.

The conference, hosted by the IHE and supported by the Department for Transport (DfT), brought together experts, exhibitors and delegates to share best practice, research and innovation.

Attendees engaged in lively discussions, posed insightful questions and explored emerging approaches that aim to improve road safety and network efficiency.

With an exciting line-up of speakers and a series of thought-provoking EVENTS CALENDAR presentations, the event sparked meaningful conversations about the future of traffic signing. Organisers praised the high level of participation and enthusiasm, highlighting the sector’s shared commitment to safer, clearer and more effective road infrastructure.

Traffic Signs 2026 reinforced the vital role that signs and road markings play in supporting road users and shaping safer journeys.
