PRIMS goes live for EngTech submissions
- Thursday February 19, 2026
The IHE has officially launched its new Professional Registration Information Management System (PRIMS), marking a major step forward in how aspiring engineering technicians engage with the professional registration process.
The system went live on 2 February, opening its digital doors to EngTech applicants and setting the tone for a more streamlined, transparent and user friendly experience across the board. PRIMS represents a significant investment in modernising the IHE’s professional registration pathway. Designed with both applicants and reviewers in mind, the platform introduces a suite of improvements that make the journey to EngTech status more accessible.
Key enhancements:
- A modern, intuitive interface that guides applicants step by step through the submission process
- Improved document management for uploading evidence, tracking progress and maintaining records
- Integrated reviewer tools to support consistent, high-quality evaluations
- Enhanced security and data protection
These upgrades are also designed to strengthen the integrity and efficiency of the EngTech assessment process. The launch of PRIMS is particularly significant for EngTech candidates.
With PRIMS now live for EngTech submissions, the IHE will continue rolling out pathways to IEng and CEng throughout the year, as well as to the professional certificates and diplomas. Members can expect ongoing refinements, training opportunities and support materials as the system becomes the central hub for all professional registration activity.
