IHE/Highways Magazine partnership continues
- Wednesday May 21, 2025
The IHE and Highways have extended their ongoing Memorandum of Understanding and Professional Development Partnership (PDP), which continues to deliver mutual benefits for both and provide coverage for IHE members.
Editor of Highways, Dominic Browne said: ‘The IHE is one of the key pillars of the sector, invaluable in so many ways not least through its leadership, training and guidance. Our partnership with the institute is based on our common values and mutual commitment to sharing best practice and knowledge, as well as our passion for supporting the engineering community and its great work. It is always an honour and pleasure to work with the IHE team.’
IHE chief executive, Lyle Andrew said: ‘It really is a pleasure to deal with the team at Highways and I didn’t have to think twice about continuing the relationship we have there. Highways provides a platform not just for industry news, but also wonderful insights into the sector that no other media does. We look forward to many years of working together.’
IHE also continues to support the Highways Awards through sponsorship of the Apprentice of the Year award and with IHE President Katharine Kelly acting as head judge.
…and also, with Yunex Traffic
IHE is also pleased to renew its existing PDP with Yunex Traffic. Mr Andrew said: ‘It is great to see that so many of our partners want to continue the existing PDPs as it demonstrates the value in such collaborative arrangements.
‘Yunex has a number of IHE members and academy delegates who benefit from training and professional development through the Institute and we are delighted to build on those foundations with such a strong force in the infrastructure and transport sector.’ Tom Hargreaves, Yunex’s head of operational services, said: ‘Our continued collaboration with the IHE underscores our commitment to professional growth and excellence within the industry.
‘This partnership enables us to support our employees in achieving professional registration and chartership, ensuring they are recognised for their expertise and contributions. Together, we look forward to fostering innovation and raising the standard of professional development in the industry.’
