IHE opens new doors in the US

In July 2024, the IHE signed a new Professional Development Partnership (PDP) with the McTrans Center in Florida, which is renowned for its expertise in developing and supporting traffic engineering software.
Located on the University of Florida campus, the McTrans Center provides a progressive atmosphere for all employees to connect with cutting edge advances in transportation technology.
This partnership was initiated by the IHE Middle East Branch, which invited the McTrans Center to present a technical webinar on the Highway Capacity Manual in February 2024.
Following its success, the two organisations collaborated again to deliver another technical webinar on capacity analysis for IHE members. Both webinars are available for viewing in the CPD section of the members’ area.
Commenting on the partnership, Fabrio Sasahara, associate director at the McTrans Center, said: ‘We are very excited about joining the PDP programme and becoming part of the IHE community. ‘
As a partner, we look forward to connecting with highway practitioners across the globe, learning more about the trends and challenges of our profession, and offering our training and professional development services to a broader community.’
