IHE attends Coventry University Transport and Security Workshop
- Tuesday September 24, 2024
The IHE had the privilege of attending the Transport Safety and Security workshop with our Academic Professional Partner, Coventry University.
Dr Ramy Shaltout from the School of Energy, Construction and Environment at Coventry University is the lead UK applicant for the Transport Safety and Security project in collaboration with the Centre of Mobility Research (CMOR) at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt. This is part of the British Council funded project supported by an Egypt Higher Education Trans-National Partnerships Grant.
The project consortium also includes Newcastle University as an associated partner, represented by the future mobility group at Newcastle University.
The activities in the project aim to design a teaching and learning collaboration model for the Transportation Safety and Security (S&S) module that contributes towards a master level in both the UK and Egypt.
Moreover, they hope to establish a longterm collaboration between the two UK universities and a university from Egypt, which will share knowledge and work together to strengthen their capabilities in transport, in general, and transport safety and security.
The IHE looks forward to continuing to work with Dr Ramy Shaltout of Coventry University and all the partners in supporting the aims of the project.
