The Greater London Branch is back in business

The Institute of Highway Engineers Greater London Branch has held its first conference in many years.
Under the topic Sustainability – Driving Down Carbon, the event was well-attended, with sponsors and speakers from FM Conway, Metis, Transport for London, Pave, TMP, WJ and the City of London hosted at London Southbank University with the help of student ambassadors.
With excellent presentations from across the industry, we were able to hear about real carbon actions that are happening, ‘not just buzzwords’. Engaging discussions followed, making the day a big success and a real learning experience for those attending the inperson event.
With the conference ending the first year since the Greater London branch was re-established in late summer 2022, we have now laid the foundations to build a thriving branch to support members and the highways community in London.
