South Western Branch – Election of Branch Officers and Committee Members 2026

The Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) 61st South Western Branch Annual General Meeting is being held this year as an online event on Thursday, 25th June 2026 at 18.00. Details to follow shortly.
The South Western Branch is keen to see a wider representation of volunteers to help to run the Branch and to assist with the organisation of local events.
The Branch Committee prides itself in its proactive approach to delivering beneficial events for the membership, but we are only as strong as that membership and therefore need your assistance. Your committee normally meets six times a year. For recent years following the pandemic the Committee Meetings and the Branch AGM has been an online event. It is the Committee intention to follow this format now with the occasional face to face Committee Meeting and future AGMs 2026 onwards.
If you feel that the time has come for you to put something back into your Institute, and you would like to stand as a Committee Member, please arrange for the attached nomination form to be completed and returned by Tuesday, 26th May 2026 to the Branch Secretary at south_western@theihe.org
You will see from the list of Branch Officers and Committee Members for 2026/2027 below that we are short of representation in some areas, e.g. Bristol.
In the list of Branch Officers and Committee, there are six Ex-officio Members, they include the two previous Branch Chairs and IHE Council Members from within the South Western Branch area.
