PDP changes confirmed
- Tuesday June 24, 2025
The IHE has announced that it will limit its Professional Development Partnerships in future after seeing huge interest from the sector.
Chief executive, Lyle Andrew, said: ‘Our PDP arrangements must continue to provide mutual benefits and value for both IHE and our various partners. To ensure those benefits continue in the future, we will be restricting the number of new partnerships offered.
‘This is not an exercise in collecting names. We have put in place a series of 360-degree metrics to ensure that we are all getting what we want from such arrangements and that can be done successfully as we focus on the mutual benefits.’
The latest PDPs were signed with Westcotec Ltd and Consilium Technical Services.
Westcotec’s Olly Samways said: ‘As an employee-owned company, Westcotec Ltd operates with the interests of our employees at the heart of our business. Our collaboration with the IHE will keep us updated on the latest legislation and training opportunities, enhancing the skillsets of our existing team and bolstering our ability to drive innovation and uphold the highest standards in the highway industry.
‘This partnership is particularly significant as I was elected as a Council Member and Director of the IHE in 2024.
‘Westcotec Ltd will also help raise awareness of the Institute’s critical work. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to sector-wide training and upskilling, as we work together to shape the future of highway engineering.’
