Nominations open for IHE Council 2026

The IHE invites members wishing to join Council (Board) as of the next AGM due to be held on 3rd July 2026 to submit nominations.
Being on the IHE Council (Board) provides you as a member of the Institute the opportunity to help steer the Institute’s strategy and direction for the future. Any eligible member of the IHE can seek nomination to sit on Council and all members are encouraged to support the Institute by considering putting themselves forward for election.
Commitment
Nominees will be expected to dedicate at least 5 days per year, three of which will be for attendance at meetings and two days per year supporting the IHE in attendance at other events such as exhibitions, conferences or meetings.
The Process
The process is simple and requires you to get six IHE members to support your nomination, which will then enable your name to go forward to an open ballot of members.
Nominations open: Monday 20th April – Monday 1st June 2026 (5pm)
Successful candidates will be notified by Friday 26th June and will be formally announced at the AGM on 3rd July and published in Highways Magazine.
