- Tuesday July 15, 2025
We are pleased to welcome Heather Suarez to the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) as our new full-time Membership and Professional Registrations Manager.
Heather brings with her a varied background across membership organisations, professional registration, and business support. In her new role, she will promote and enhance the membership experience as well as support IHE members through their professional development and registration journeys with the Engineering Council and the British Computer Society.
Prior to joining the IHE, Heather was the Registration and Accreditation Officer at the Institute of Measurement and Control, a position she held for nearly two years. Based in London, this hybrid role involved managing professional registration and accreditation processes.
Between 2021 and 2023, she worked part-time as Business Support Manager at the Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA), where she provided operational and administrative support to the team.
Heather also has experience running her own virtual assistant business, supporting small organisations with a range of services including process review, content creation, and documentation.
She holds a First Class BA in Educational Studies and Humanities from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff underlining her strong academic background and commitment to lifelong learning.
Reflecting on her new role, Heather shared, “I’m excited to be joining the team at the IHE and look forward to meeting its members, supporting their professional growth and contributing to their career development.”
Heather’s background combines practical experience with a focus on supporting professionals, and we look forward to working with her at the IHE.
