The IHE Greater London Branch are thrilled to confirm that they will be hosting their first annual conference in many years. This event will be held at London South Bank University on Thursday 2nd November 2023.
The Branch had a great response to the Call for Papers earlier in the summer, using your responses to build a diverse agenda around the theme of Sustainability.
The conference will feature:
- insights from TfL and their journey to net zero;
- how Metis is working with local government to define and reduce carbon in highway construction and maintenance;
- the City of London’s carbon reduction initiatives, and;
- an update from FM Conway on their progress in the sustainability sphere.
The conference will be rounded up with talks on SuDS, street trees and bio-bollards to round up a conference demonstrating the need to tackle the sustainability challenge from different angles.
The Branch is also trying to bring a political debate with an exciting panel discussing differing perspectives on sustainability – watch this space for more.
The Branch is committed to making the event as accessible as possible. The price for the event is being kept low to ensure as many people can benefit from what the IHE has to offer – both members and non-members.
