This event will give an overview of National Highways major projects in the South West region.
The Roads Investment Strategy (RIS) has meant that there has been, and continues to be, significant investment in the Strategic Road Network in the south west. The Major Projects directorate delivers these majors schemes that sit within the Regional Investment Programme (RIP). This talk will give an overview of schemes that have been delivered since the start of the RISs back in 2010 and are currently being delivered.
Presenter – Colin Bird, Regional Delivery Director, Major Projects, National Highways
Colin Bird is the Regional Delivery Director within Major Projects who is responsible for delivering several Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across the region. Colin is responsible for all aspects of these projects across the project lifecycle. Colin has been involved in major schemes for a number of years and prior to that worked within strategic planning, operations and organisational change.
The event will consist of a presentation, followed by a Q&A session.
