Details

Devon County Council is working in partnership with Milestone and the University of Exeter on the A382 improvement scheme as an opportunity to drive carbon reductions through the design, construction and maintenance of the project, with the ambition of it becoming the UK’s first carbon negative road. The A382 (Including Jetty Marsh Link Road) – Carbon Negative Project is one of 7 projects to receive funding from ADEPT’s Live Labs 2 programme and aims to radically accelerate the reduction of carbon emissions associated with the construction and maintenance of UK highways. It aims to demonstrate that by combining current and developing initiatives, carbon negative highways are possible.
