The NWSRG, in collaboration with MHA+ and Derby City Council, invites you to a day of practical insight, knowledge sharing and the latest winter service innovations.
Designed for winter service professionals, this IHE CPD accredited event brings together industry experts and local authorities to share guidance, best practice and real-world experience.
Join for an unmissable event featuring critical topics for winter maintenance professionals, including:
- Adopting new technologies and processes
- Managing Active Travel schemes
- Interactive courtroom-style session to test your winter service decisions
Winter service is about more than operational readiness – it’s also about legal readiness.
We are also looking forward to a thought-provoking session from Ian Quayle, IQ Legal Training, focused on the legal duties and responsibilities that sit at the heart of winter service operations.
Using interactive scenarios and courtroom-style challenges, the session will explore what happens when winter service decisions come under scrutiny – and how local authorities can better prepare before the season begins.
Designed to be practical, honest and non-judgemental, this session aims to help practitioners:
- Understand what legal proceedings could involve
- Identify gaps in preparedness
- Build confidence in processes, records and decision-making
- Share challenges openly with peers across the sector
A valuable discussion for anyone involved in planning, delivering or overseeing winter service operations.
NB: Please only book a place if you are definitely going to attend.
