Professional Review applicants are responsible for their own development, but support from a mentor helps them try out new ideas and keep a focus on objectives on their journey to becoming professionally qualified.

Good mentors will try to ensure that the engineers they work with gain confidence and independence as a result of their relationship, and are enabled to take full and effective responsibility for themselves.

This workshop is aimed at individuals acting as mentors, or wanting to act as a mentor, for members or colleagues. It will provide advice, guidance and encouragement to mentors and help mentors identify the relevant knowledge and experience required to meet the required competence standard.
