Join the IHE Greater London Branch for their first session of the series ‘Slice of Knowledge’ where you’ll get to engage with presenters discussing innovative projects, products and policies, over a few slices of pizza and drinks.

This session will provide an overview of Lambeth’s award-winning Kerbside Strategy, from strategy development through to the delivery achievements 2 years after the strategy was adopted. This strategy looks at how the kerbside (the space at the side of the road often used for parking) can and should be used to enable more active and sustainable travel, supporting climate and public health initiatives. The strategy development portion will provide an overview of the strategy contents, how it aligns with Lambeth Council’s wider objectives and how the case was made for this strategy. The strategy delivery portion will talk about Lambeth’s progress towards the 25% sustainable kerbside target and will go into detail on what has been delivered in the last 2 years.

This session will be suitable for local authorities who are considering developing a similar strategy and also for external organisation.

There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.

Presenter – Tash Hartke, Kerbside Strategy Programme Manager, London Borough of Lambeth

This session will be presented by Tash Hartke, Kerbside Strategy Programme Manager at the London Borough of Lambeth. Tash has been working on the Kerbside Strategy for the last 2 years. Before this, she has worked with a number of local authorities across London on active travel projects including infrastructure delivery and behaviour change programmes. Tash’s route into the active travel sector stemmed from her interest in how our everyday environment impacts our health and wellbeing.
