Details
In this presentation we will look at how Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) can help to mitigate against the issues caused by climate change, urbanisation and population growth.
The session explores the design principles around the four pillars of SuDS (i.e. water quantity, water quality, amenity and biodiversity) and considers the close relationship between the principles of what a beaver does and how this links to the multitude of SuDS solutions and systems that are available, both hard and soft.
Outlining how good SuDS designs can be combined for maximum effect to create resilience against the issues highlighted, as well as creating space for our health, mitigating against fragmentation of species and enhancing biodiversity as part of our designs.
