The IHE Mercia Branch committee would like to invite you to their Site CPD event, which will be delivered by Telford & Wrekin Council Drainage and Flood Risk Team.
The CPD will focus on improvements made to the road surfacing along the Ironbridge Wharfage to support the temporary flood barrier defence, as well as a scheme to install a flood alleviation culvert to protect Dale End against flooding. Dale End is under threat from sewer flooding the River Severn and the Coal Brook, sometimes this flooding can occur simultaneously and not only causes damage to businesses and property, it also prevents emergency vehicular access and egress to the flood barriers.
