The IHE East Midlands Branch would like to invite you to a joint IHE/ICE in-person technical evening on Tuesday 19th September.
Join the IHE and ICE East Midlands branch for this informative lecture.
Anglian Water are building a new 52km water pipeline between Elsham in North Lincolnshire, and Lincoln. The pipeline is one part of an interconnected water network across the region, as outlined in the Water Resources Management Plan (WRMP). This also includes the construction of two new pumping stations, at Elsham and Welton.
Colin Wilkinson from Anglian Water, will provide a technical overview of the most northerly section of Anglian Water’s new drinking water network. This new strategic pipeline will allow Anglian Water to help improve water resilience by moving water from ‘wetter’ to ‘drier’ areas of the region. Without the new water main grid, demand for water will outstrip supply meaning the East of England could run out of water as soon as 2030. This event is a great opportunity for those interested in learning more about water supply will cover aspects of the report and the impacts climate change is having on the highway.
You must register with the IHE to attend by using the ‘register’ button above.
