    For those of us that attended the siemens user groups a few weeks ago would have heard about HP discontinuing support for the alpha. Siemens are actively encouraging authorities to make a move towards PC scoot which will be at great cost. This would be hard to swallow especially in the current financial climate.
    (My authorities alpha is less than four years old)

    I have spoken to HP at length regarding this and they have advised that they will continue to support the more recent systems such as the DS15 and DS25 that most of us have until at least until 2013. There is no firm date when support will firmly end.
    HP kindly sent me a document detailing the above which is attached.

    MAINDEC the service agents that both Peek and Siemens use will probably continue to support the alpha for many years as they still can provide support for systems well over 15+ years old.
