IHE South Western Branch - June 2011
The Branch held a very successful 46th Branch AGM held at Exeter's Met Office on Thursday, 12th May 2011. Over 40 Branch members attended the AGM an increase on both previous AGM's with nine former Branch Chairmen present.
We would like to thank Richard Hayes for representing IHE's Council and delivering the London Report.
To also thank our outgoing sponsor (2010-2011) Traffic Solutions run by Branch Member, Mark Ralph and our 2011-2012 sponsor WJ Roadmarkings South West.

The South Western Branches Future Events Programme includes:
A site visit to 'Redhayes Bridge' before it officially opens in July 2011.
An Environmental Day to be held in late June or early July 2011 at Devon County Council's, Littlemoor House at Sowton, Exeter offices and laboratory.
The day to consist of an introduction by Devon's Keith Grant.
Subjects to include:
• Sustainability
• Drainage
• East Devon floods
• Drainage Law
• Materials - what is in and what is out?
Numbers will be limited to twelve members.
An evening meeting in Cornwall with the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP).
To be followed up by a similar event in Dorset focusing on Weymouth and Portland's Olympic venue.
A visit is planned to WDM's works in Bristol later in the year - WDM are providers of highway survey and monitoring equipment.
