Recognition for NVQs and SVQs

NVQ3s access EngTech

  • Relevant level 3 NVQs and SVQs meet IHE's academic requirements and can be "recycled" into a review report. There is no interview for this route.

NVQs/SVQs and IEng

  • NVQ/SVQs at level 4 and 3 can access the Technical Report Route to IEng. Click here for document IE4
  • The following NVQs/SVQs at level 4, meet many of the Competence Standards in the Incorporated Review:


    Transportation
    Highway Management
    Site Management
    Project Management

  • Individual NVQ/SVQ units can also provide proof of achieving the Institute's competence requirements. Applicants need to use the Evidence Summary Form to show how their NVQ units meet the review statements of competence set out in Document IE3
  • NVQ units can provide structured continuing professional development, which meets the 'CPD Day' requirements of the professional review and demonstrates a structured approach to development in a CPD Plan.
  • NVQs and individual units can contribute towards further learning, to top up post-1999 Higher Nationals, science or building qualifications to degree level. Ask IHE for a Career Assessment. Email us a CV, a copy of your certificates. and details of the units (or a weblink).
