Licenced use of IHE logo

Members may use the Institute logo in relation to their business activities. This helps to promote the corporate identity of the profession and provides a link between member sole practitioners or their firm or organisation and your professional body. Each use of the logo must, however, be in accordance with the institution's guidelines and be the subject of a licence issued by IHE.

There is no charge for processing applications. On approval, IHE issues a licence and an electronic version of the logo.

The IHE logo is a registered Trade Mark: Number 2391082 (5 May 2005).

Guidelines

The guidelines require that a substantial part of the work of the individual or organisation must be in, or closely related to, highway and transportation engineering, and that at least one of the directors or partners of a firm must be a Chartered or an Incorporated Engineer or registered Technician through IHE.

Authorisation

Provided there is no significant change in the individual's or organisation's activities, the licence remains current but please reapply if there are major changes.

Any unauthorised use of the logo will be dealt with through IHE Council and is a contravention of the members' Code of conduct.
