This IHE course offers those in Transport Development Management an overview of the planning process and policies and the role of development management engineers.

Programme includes:
- Introduction to planning legislation, key documents and the development plan.
- The highway engineer's role in managing development; Assessing the highway aspects of a planning proposal; planning controls and obligations and agreements.
- Legal aspects of development control: Section 106 and 278 Agreements, public enquiries.

The introductory course can be followed by a Transport Development Foundation training programme.

This event will be hosted by Sanderson Associates and is limited to 20 delegates.

I am looking at the above course and ultimately part 2 for 3 of my staff, are there any future plans to hold courses in the North of England or perhaps in the Midlands?
