About us
How IHE is run
IHE is run by, and for, its members - chartered, incorporated engineers and technicians and allied professionals in highways and transportation. The Institute is very responsive to members and democratic in its practice and outlook. All are welcome to take an active part.
IHE's national Council of elected members sets the policy agenda for a staff team managed by the Secretary/CEO.
Local Branches are a vital part of the life of the Institute. Committees of members organise visits, seminars, evening presentations and discussions and contribute ideas and views to Council.
